Directing

 The first show I ever directed was Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead when I was in college. After doing mostly producing and sound work since then, I’ve returned to direct actors in preparation for my cabaret, Shakes on the Rocks. We run scenes, improvise with them, and look to root out the real human emotion that is so often lost in classical theatre. I’ve utilized this when looking at specifically video game VO. The stakes, the drama, the vital importance of being present, it’s more similar to Shakespeare than you might think.
